Snowmobile Ride and Chochołów Thermal Pools from Krakow

5.0 (530 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Thousand Miles collects you from your accommodation in Krakow between about 7:30 and 8:30 and drives roughly two hours south to the Zakopane area. Groups are capped at 22 travellers, and an English-speaking driver stays with you for the day.

On the way in, the group stops for about 30 minutes at a bacówka, a wooden shepherd's hut, to taste smoked sheep's-milk cheese (sold as oscypek) at several levels of smoking and hear how it is made.

The main event is a ride of about two hours, bonfire included, through the countryside around Witów. Helmet, gloves and balaclava are provided; snowsuits are not. The machine costs 400 PLN per two-person snowmobile, paid in cash at the counter before the ride, and single snowmobiles are also offered. Without enough snow the ride switches to quads, and you are told the day before. As vehicles are banned in Tatra National Park, the ride stays on land outside it.

Afterwards you warm up by a bonfire with regional food and wine, then spend three hours at the Chochołów thermal pools before the drive back to your hotel in the evening.

The price is from about $132 (499 PLN) per person, with hotel pickup included. The trip holds a rating of 5.0 from 530 reviews on Viator.

What Travelers Say

Rated 5.0/5 by 530 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

Had a brilliant time, and would highly recommend this trip. Snowmobiles were excellent and the scenery and views were outstanding. Thermal baths finished the day off perfectly. The outside pools were lovely, And the pool bar at the Spa was very reasonably priced. Our driver and host, Simon couldn't do enough for us. If you can, book with him 👌
