Snowmobile, Zakopane and Chochołów Baths Day Trip from Krakow

4.9 (670 verified reviews)

About This Experience

Fun Tours Cracow drives small groups from Krakow by air-conditioned minivan to the Podhale countryside near Zakopane. The day mixes a snowmobile ride with a look at highlander village life and ends in thermal pools.

The day opens in Chochołów, a village of traditional wooden cottages, where the group goes inside a sculptor's hut to see how highlanders lived and worked. Then comes the snowmobile ride, following a guide along a route chosen for its views of the Tatras, with stops for photos. The snowmobiles cannot legally enter Tatra National Park, so the ride runs on land outside it.

The snowmobile is an extra: a two-seat machine costs 400 PLN in cash, and the rental desk does not take cards. When there is not enough snow the operator runs the tour on quads instead, which matters because the listing sells dates from early October.

After the ride you grill smoked sheep's-milk cheese (sold as oscypek) yourself over a firepit. The day finishes at Chochołowskie Termy, with pools, a jacuzzi and a treatment zone using sulphide and brine water, before the drive back to Krakow.

Prices start at $170 per person, rising to about $191 or $210 depending on the pickup option you choose. The tour holds a rating of 4.9 from 670 GetYourGuide reviews.

What Travelers Say

Rated 4.9/5 by 670 verified GetYourGuide travelers.

We had the most incredible experience in the Polish mountains, honestly one of the best trips we’ve done. Karina, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. So friendly, helpful and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone had a great time. The snowmobiles were an absolute highlight. So much fun! My 13-year-old son rode with me and had the best time, one of those proper core memories you know you’ll both look back on. Flying through the snow-covered landscape together was just brilliant. And then the thermal baths… I don’t think I can quite do that justice in words. Sitting in heated outdoor pools, surrounded by snow-topped mountains, steam rising into the cold air, it was just magical. Peaceful, surreal, and something I’ll never forget. If you’re even thinking about doing this trip, do it. Truly unforgettable.

What an incredible trip from start to finish. The snowmobiling was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve ever had flying through the snow, surrounded by unreal scenery, pure adrenaline and freedom. It was the perfect mix of excitement and adventure. And then the Chocho Ski Baths… honestly, the ideal way to unwind afterwards. The thermal pools, the mountain views, the whole atmosphere just next level relaxation. What really made the trip though were the guides. Friendly, bubbly, full of energy, and genuinely made the whole experience even better. You could tell they loved what they do, and it showed in every moment. Couldn’t recommend this enough an unforgettable experience.
