How a Quad Day from Krakow Works

Four choices that decide the real cost and the shape of your day.

  1. Pick a ticket, then add the vehicle

Tickets run from $28 for transport only to about $151 with baths, and none of them includes the machine. Fun Tours Cracow charges 400 PLN per two-seater quad or 500 PLN per buggy, Cracow Top Tours 300 PLN per quad, and KRK-KrakowTours does not publish its ATV price. All are paid on the day, mostly in cash.

  2. Choose your route

Fun Tours Cracow lets you pick a scenic route with Tatra views or a rougher extreme route through mud, forest and water, with a photo break in the middle. KRK-KrakowTours rides in a column behind the guide across rivers, rocky trails and steep slopes. Expect to get dirty on any of them, and wear clothes that can take it.

  3. Ride for about an hour

Where listings give a length, the ride itself lasts about an hour, including short photo stops. Two people can share one machine and swap the handlebars at the stops, which halves the rental. Rides run on private land outside Tatra National Park, where motor vehicles are banned, so you see the mountains from the Podhale countryside.

  4. Finish in the pools or on Krupówki

Most quad days end with two and a half to three hours in thermal baths; Fun Tours Cracow names Chochołowskie Termy, which is closed from 19 to 30 October 2026. The cheapest coach day trades the baths for Gubałówka and about two hours on Krupówki. Bring swimwear, a towel and money for food inside the complex.

Three Quad Days from Krakow Compared

Quads or buggies with Chochołów, a hotel-pickup day with a bonfire, and a small-group ATV ride. Ticket prices are per person, from the booking platforms in October 2026; the vehicle rental is paid on top.

QUAD TOUR GUIDE

Zakopane Quad Bike Tours from Krakow Compared

What each ticket covers, what the vehicle costs on the day, and how long you actually ride.

For a quad day with the most going on, book Fun Tours Cracow’s Zakopane Quad and Buggy Tour with Thermal Baths on GetYourGuide. It costs from $151 per person on the option with thermal baths, and the day takes in the wooden village of Chochołów, a quad or buggy ride on a scenic or an extreme route, smoked cheese you grill yourself over a fire pit, and Chochołowskie Termy. It holds 5.0 from 39 GetYourGuide reviews. The same day is sold on Viator as Full Day Zakopane Quads/Buggy and Thermal Baths Tour from about $156, with 5.0 from 19 reviews on Viator, so check both for your date (prices checked October 2026).

The vehicle is extra: 400 PLN in cash for a two-seater quad, or 500 PLN for a two-seater buggy, shared between the two riders. Know two things before you compare. Review counts on quad days are small, between 9 and 39 on the quad-first listings here, so a 5.0 rests on far fewer trips than the big Zakopane days. And one listing prices its options in an odd direction: Fun Tours Cracow’s option without baths was $178 when we checked, more than the $151 option with them.

What you pay on the day

Every quad tour from Krakow splits the price in two: a ticket online and a rental paid on the spot. Here is the second half, as each listing gives it.

  • Fun Tours Cracow: 400 PLN per two-seater quad, 500 PLN per two-seater buggy, cash only.
  • Cracow Top Tours: 300 PLN per quad, paid on site, the lowest rental quoted on this site.
  • Discover Poland: 400 PLN per quad, which the listing also gives as 200 PLN per person, plus the Gubałówka funicular if you ride it.
  • KRK-KrakowTours: the listing excludes the ATV rental and paid in cash at the base, but gives no figure. Ask the operator before you book.

Two people sharing one machine halves every figure above. KRK-KrakowTours lets passengers swap to the handlebars at the photo stops, so sharing does not have to mean riding on the back all day.

The quad days compared

Fun Tours Cracow’s quad and buggy day is the only one here that offers buggies and a choice of route. Hotel pickup is a separate option at about $210 per person; the standard option meets at a kiss-and-ride point in central Krakow. One reviewer had about two and a half hours at the baths and said it was the only place to eat, so budget for a meal there. See our full breakdown of this tour.

Cracow Top Tours’ Zakopane Quad Ride, Bonfire and Thermal Springs costs from $103 per person, priced for two travellers, and collects you from your hotel or apartment. You get about an hour on the quad with an instructor, about an hour at a bonfire with Polish sausage, snacks and alcoholic drinks, and about three hours at a thermal baths complex the listing does not name. It holds 4.9 from 9 GetYourGuide reviews, the fewest of any tour on this page.

KRK-KrakowTours’ Zakopane ATV Off-Road Ride and Thermal Pools costs from about $142 per person on Viator, or about $149 with a shooting range added (ammunition extra). Groups are capped at eight, you are lent a helmet, waterproof coat, trousers and wellies, and the off-road hour crosses rivers and steep slopes before a 2.5-hour baths ticket. There is no hotel pickup. Until 15 November 2026 it runs on Tuesdays and Saturdays, then daily. It holds 4.9 from 16 reviews on Viator.

Discover Poland’s Zakopane Quad Ride, Gubałówka and Krupówki Day Trip has the lowest ticket on this page, from $28 per person, but that buys the coach from Bosacka 18, a driver or tour leader and a small vodka and cheese tasting. The only option on sale when we checked was the quad one, which includes no thermal baths. On the spot you pay the quad (400 PLN per machine) and the Gubałówka funicular; the listing quotes 44 PLN, the summer fare, while PKL’s low-season return from 1 October is 37 PLN online or 42 PLN at the office. In exchange you get about two hours of free time on Krupówki. It holds 4.5 from 19 GetYourGuide reviews.

Snowmobile days that run on quads

Off-season, several snowmobile tours become quad tours. Krakowdirect’s Zakopane Snowmobiles, Bonfire and Hot Springs Tour rides quads in the warmer months, about an hour with a certified instructor, for 400 PLN per vehicle on top of a ticket from $108, and it has 4.8 from 1,300 GetYourGuide reviews, far more history than any quad-first listing. KRK-KrakowTours’ Snowmobile Adventure with Zakopane and Optional Thermal Pools switches to quads or buggies when the snow is thin and holds 5.0 from 310 GetYourGuide reviews. Our Zakopane snowmobile tours page compares those days in full.

How long you actually ride

On a 10- or 11-hour day, the machine takes about an hour. Cracow Top Tours, KRK-KrakowTours and Krakowdirect all give about an hour, including short stops for photos of the Tatras. Fun Tours Cracow and Discover Poland do not state a length. The rest of the day is driving, about one and a half to two hours each way from Krakow, plus food stops and the baths or town. If the ride is the only part you care about, the Discover Poland coach day leaves the most time in Zakopane itself, and our Zakopane day trip page covers days with more sightseeing and no engine at all.

Licences, age and who should skip it

Cracow Top Tours requires whoever drives to be at least 18 and to carry a valid driving licence; passengers need none, and the listing rules out under-18s altogether. The other listings set no licence rule. Cracow Top Tours’ quad service can turn away anyone who has been drinking, and Discover Poland has riders sign a document accepting the risks. KRK-KrakowTours does not recommend its ride for travellers with spinal injuries, pregnant travellers or anyone with poor cardiovascular health, and Fun Tours Cracow also excludes pregnant women.

The law shapes the routes. Polish nature-protection law bans motor vehicles inside Tatra National Park, and under the Forest Act quads may enter forests only on public roads or forest roads signposted as open to traffic. Police can fine an illegal forest ride up to 500 PLN on the spot. That is why the organised rides use private land outside the park.

The thermal baths part

Three of the four quad-first days end in thermal pools. Fun Tours Cracow names Chochołowskie Termy, where the pools are kept at 32–38°C; the other two do not name their baths. Chochołowskie Termy is closed for building work from 19 to 30 October 2026, so on those dates ask which complex your group will use. If the pools matter more than the ride, our Zakopane thermal baths tours page compares baths days with a proper Zakopane visit.

Where to go next

For every type of day trip side by side, see our best Zakopane tours from Krakow or the guide to which Zakopane tour from Krakow is right for you. If you have settled on mud, a fire and the pools, check availability for the Fun Tours Cracow day and bring złoty for the vehicle.

"I booked this for myself and my 12-year-old daughter while celebrating my birthday in Kraków, and it exceeded our expectations! The quad biking was amazing and perfect for anyone who loves adrenaline. The off-road sections, especially driving through the water, were definitely the highlight for both of us. The thermal baths were the perfect way to relax afterwards. They were beautiful, although a little crowded. A huge thank you to our tour guide, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and always checking everyone was enjoying themselves. They made sure we had plenty of food and toilet stops, and our driver was also fantastic—professional, friendly, and made the journey comfortable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Kraków. It was the perfect birthday celebration and a day my daughter and I will always remember!"

"From start to finish our guide Karina was amazing super helpful, made us feel very welcome, the quads were fantastic best we have ever done was definitely an experience I won’t forget."

Charlie United Kingdom

"Brought my daughter in law for her 18th birthday to Krakow for a long weekend and booked this trip the day before as to explore more than the central square. From the moment we were picked up we were made to feel welcome and the guide was wonderful, she was chatty and went above and beyond to explain each stage as well as general conversation. We were guided through each activity without any problem and she was also very informative at each stage so we also learnt quite a bit about the local culture along they way. Highly recommended if you are thinking of doing this as an activity in Krakow."

Nichola United Kingdom

"We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this company and cannot recommend them enough! The day started perfectly with a pickup location just 10 minutes from our apartment. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our driver and guide, who even provided us with bottled water for the journey. Our first stop was the Sculpture Village, where our guide shared some fascinating history that really brought the area to life. This was followed by a grilled cheese tasting—it was delicious, and learning the tradition behind the cheese-making process made it even better. The highlight for us was the quad biking. The off-road track was exhilarating, especially driving through the river! We ended the day at the thermal baths. Our guide made it stress- free by explaining exactly how everything worked and—best of all—skipping the long queue to get our wristbands so we could jump right in."

Leah United Kingdom

"We had an excellent time on this trip, our guide was really really nice and had a lot of knowledge regarding the city on the way up to zakopane the wooden village and we also got a cheese tasting. We drove up in a small group which was very nice and very punctual , the quad biking was amazing we went through the lakes and through the woods the company took videos and pictures for us which was a nice touch! Then to end a good day in the thermal baths was unreal we had 2:30 mins there and we had access to everywhere! Really good company to book through"

Caitlyn Ireland

"Absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The guides made the day even better! Our best day in Poland!"

"Amazing experience! Thankyou! Highly recommend (even if I did crash!!! hahah!)"

janet United Kingdom

"The tour was varied and exciting. I'd add a bit more time for the thermal bath, since it was the only place to eat. The guides and drivers were really nice I can recommend the tour"
